We did not have a full day planned for the 4th as most people did, but we REALLY enjoyed our day of relaxation!! The kids were so excited that daddy did not have to go to work today!! They love when he gets to stay home!!
Our "plans" for the day were going to Dave and Busters to eat dinner and play some games and as Sydney would say "win A LOT of tickets" and then head over for the Frisco fireworks show!!

The kids had a blast at Dave and Busters, and they could not wait to see some fireworks!! The bad news....Frisco fireworks show was not scheduled to start until 10:00 (or after the FC Dallas game was over)!!! I knew Sydney would make it because she was so excited, but Bentley was questionable....but off we went to give it a try!! We, by some miracle, found a great parking spot where if worse came to worse, we could see the fireworks from the car. :) It was only 9:00 so we decided to get out and walk around and check all of the "stuff" going on. Boy did they have a lot of "stuff".....bounce houses, trampoline bungee jumping (or whatever it is called...lol), Disney Junior booth and just about every other kind of booth you could imagine too, a band, and of course the FC Dallas game was going on. There were soooo many people there!! We didn't do too man activities since we knew we would be pushing it far enough just making the fireworks show with our tired children who were up WAY past their bedtime. :) It was nice just walking around though!! Ok, so as 10:00 is FINALLY approaching, we are noticing that the FC Dallas game is not over. :/ We were thinking...you're kidding! I wasn't sure our kids would make it until 10:00, and now it was going to be after that before the fireworks started! Well, we stuck it out, and the game ended and the fireworks started about 10:15. The kids loved them, but they were definitely tired and ready to go home once they were over!! But, wow was traffic unreal!! After sitting for 25 minutes without moving AT ALL, Rod decides to take our Honda Accord over the curb...lol! No we were not sure it would make it, but at this point it was worth a try! We made it, and we were on our way home finally!!!!! We gave the kids the fastest baths of their lives, and we all went to bed!! It was a late night, but we had a great time just spending the night out with our kids!!
Here are some pics from the night...
